First, make sure you’ve linked your OnLoop app to Slack:

Add the OnLoop Slack app to your workspace

Only one person per company needs to do this step. If you’re joining later, simply search for OnLoop in the Slack App Directory:

Capture in Slack

We’ve got a number of new ways you can send Captures directly to OnLoop without leaving Slack. These include Slash commands (e.g. /capture, /learn) and the @OnLoop bot.

<aside> 🚀 Tip: Slash commands (/capture) are only visible to you (so a great way to make an Improve Capture). Messages to the @OnLoop bot are visible to whoever is in the channel you send them to (perfect for Celebrates!).

/capture + Enter

Type /capture + Enter in any channel or chat to open an in-app window that will walk you through a Capture step-by-step.

/capture + Type out your Capture

For our power users (we see you!), you can also type out your Capture in the Slack message box as follows:

• Type /capture in any channel or chat to start: /capture
• Mention your colleague: @Andrea
• Type in your thoughts: is an execution machine!
• Hashtag the Capture type (#celebrate or #improve): #celebrate
• Add relevant tags [between brackets]: [Hyper Organized]
• Hit Enter
• Example: /capture @Andrea is an execution machine who should not be taken for granted. A massive win for OnLoop! #celebrate [Hyper Organized] [Self Starter]

Your Capture will be waiting for you in the OnLoop app. Open it to make any tweaks and make your colleague’s day by sharing it straight away!
